Coastal Management in Nova Scotia

The Government of Nova Scotia has developed a draft Coastal Strategy to more effectively manage our coastline, one of the province’s most valuable natural assets.

Following the release of the Coastal Management Framework in 2008, and the State of Nova Scotia’s Coast Report in December 2009, the Provincial Oceans Network (PON), an umbrella group representing 15 departments and agencies, conducted extensive research and public consultations about coastal management in Nova Scotia.

A draft Coastal Strategy [PDF-572 KB] has been completed, and was circulated for feedback.
