• "Youth in the 90s", a comprehensive look at youth demographics, issues and trends in Nova Scotia
• Created and supported the Youth Advisory Council and the Provincial Student Education Council
• Introduced the Civil Service Career Starts Internship Program
• Produced A Splendid Torch - A Nova Scotia Youth Arts Showcase
• Administered the Provincial Employment Program
• Produced a resource series on youth engagement Youth Making a Difference, in partnership with HeartWood
• Coordinated Youth Employment research and action, including province wide consultations and reporting
• Co-chaired the Federal - Provincial Youth Employment Protocol Committee.
• Supported the creation of the HeartWood Centre of Community Youth Development, a centre of excellence on youth development
• Supported a wide variety of government/non-government/community initiatives
