Geomatics Atlantic 2012 at Saint Mary's University The Geomatics Association of Nova Scotia (GANS) is pleased to announce Geomatics Atlantic 2012. The conference will take place from June 12-14, 2012 at Saint Mary's University Halifax, Nova Scotia. This year's theme is " Looking Back Moving Forward" which celebrates 25 years of successful geomatics conferences in Atlantic Canada. Keynote Speaker at this years event will be Dr. Robert Fournier, Science Columnist, CBC Radio Information Morning. As a follow up to the original 'Pothole Plotter' that was released solely in Nova Scotia last year. Landmark Geographic Solutions Inc is now releasing a new version for this years pothole season. Hurricane Juan Preliminary Assessment Click on the image to open an interactive map. This map service is intended to provide landowners access to an image database that depicts the forest condition after Hurricane Juan hit the province September 29, 2003. Digital orthophotography was used to create the image mosaics. The aerial photography used was flown in October and November 2003. |
