Throughout the health system there are other information management initiatives that are managing wait times at point of care, such as Continuing Care's single entry access (SEA) program.
The Continuing Care Branch has a provincial placement policy for Long Term Care applicants that allows the Department to manage placements consistently and fairly across the entire province, putting care needs of the applicants first. In areas of the province where home support services are not immediately available for Home Care, a wait list process is also managed.
