This academic hot spot on the Atlantic Ocean is rightly called Canada's Education Province. With 13 community college campuses, we have more post-secondary institutions per capita than anywhere else in Canada.
Colleges offer a variety of full- and part-time career-oriented programs for secondary school graduates and mature students who may not have completed secondary school. Most college programs are either diploma programs, which run two or three years, or certificate programs, which run one year or less. Some courses of study lead to official certification in skilled trades that are regulated by professional associations.
